Aristocrat Hotel, New Town, Kolkata

Once it was a very fancy hotel that I could feel. But now it seems like a dying kingdom. The rooms are still quite clean, but there is not much services offered. Staff are mostly new, untrained, and young, although they tried a lot to support.

Rude and arrogant Staff specially duty manager

Terrible Hotel , Uncomfortabke beds , Lack of Hygiene Rude behavior Have booked for intials 2 days from booking and i have to take stay for another 1 day to some urgent work , staff insisted me to book directly instead of booking and even charged my extra as well

I only love the staff..

Too many flies in the room. Very old amenities food is really bad. Don't opts for package that include lunch or dinner because you will be so disappointed.

Rooms and everything was good.Staff were great.

Pool was not open. Nothing else to do like no activity was available.

The location of the hotel was the attracting part . There were so many big shopping malls and roads were clean and wide as well. Feels like we were in any Europeans country.

The service of the hotel. when they gave us room which was not good at all. Then they changed but there were so many toiletries missing as in facial tissue, toilet tissue, soap, shampoo , hand wash ; in one word nothing was there. And we called in the house keeping , reception twice . After more than half an hour they sent those stuff in the room . So yes, it was very disappointing service. besides, breakfast items were bit poor, less variation compare to the hotel.

Request for good view room but staff not putting efforts to provide good view room.Even the have lots of room with a good view available.

The bathroom was not clean,the basin was blocked,we called for maintenance but they had done nothing about it,so we had to wash our faces using the shower because the basin was blocked with water.Very inconvenient!Even though there were two of us,only one towel was provided.We couldn't log in to the wifi even though we used the correct instructions. One of the lifts was not functioning. We waited like fools for it to take us down. THEY could have just put a notice there saying that it's not functioning!The geyser was too small for sufficient hot water.

The property is well managed and clean. The breakfast which was free for me since I booked from Booking.com was a huge spread. The staff at the restaurant was very warm and welcoming

The lady at the reception, probably in a managerial position. I requested for early checkin at the hotel since I came after a long flight, she gave me a room outside the property in a "villa" where a wedding was going on. The room that was given was used, then the bell boy shifted us to another room but that room had its light broken. We requested her to change our room since it will not be possible to stay in a room outside the property and with a wedding going on. Now , she informed that if we want room in the main building, we will have to wait till 2pm, which soon became 1pm. Since she promised us a room on arrival, we scheduled an important meeting at 12:30, she told us that she cannot give us a room before 1pm and we have to take the meeting from the restaurant. We agreed to it but soon the lobby became crowded due to the wedding and taking a meeting from the restaurant was not an option anymore.Hence we again requested for a room or board room. Her excuse was that a wedding is going on in the property and there are no room left in the hotel. If that is so, why was a booking accepted by the hotel. And in booking.com it still showed that rooms are available on that date. On much persuasion, another manager (who was very polite and helpful) gave us a room at 12 noon. This room in the main building was very good and well maintained. Now , when I went to pay for the room, the lady manager told me that breakfast is not included in my booking and I have to pay, whereas it was clearly written in my booking that it comes with a complementary breakfast, this was written at the bottom of the print out that she gave me. Acting smart is required in a job but over smartness cost a lot. When someone visits any property which is in a hospitality business, the first thing that a customer expects is hospitality, and this lady lacks this. Other than her, all other members , housekeeping, restaurant staff, security guards everyone was very warm and welcoming.

Great location,near to public transport and in a major area of Newtown, upgraded to suite,welcoming and helpful staff.Infrastructure was good.Value for money worthy.

A single lift working during my 4 days of stay,Breakfast utensils many a time missing.Breakfast options limited.Toilet supplies could have been more and better.

I like the whole environment. Their room is ok, I got a very good window view. Restaurant is ok. Have buffet breakfast facility. Food items are very good. Have swimming pool, spa and bungalow all type of facility.

The overall cleanliness in my floor and my room is not good.
